INSTALLATION GUIDE
Installing your Custom Graphics kit or Wheel Graphics is easy when you follow our instructions carefully. All you need is cleaning supplies, a little time, and attention to detail – ensuring a clean finish and long-lasting adhesion.
Installing Custom Graphics
1. Preparation
Clean the plastics thoroughly with a degreasing agent and make sure the surface is completely free of dirt, dust, and grease. If the plastics have old decals, use a sticker remover to remove any adhesive residue.
Usually, no heat is required for installing the decals. However, on sharp curves, you can gently warm the graphic to make it more flexible and easier to apply.
2. Placement
First, position the decals in place without removing the backing paper to see exactly where each decal will be placed. Make sure all decals are positioned correctly before starting the actual installation.
Align the decals using small pieces of painter’s tape.
3. Installation
Start with the large and medium-sized decals, such as front masks or side panels. Once the decal is correctly aligned, remove one piece of painter’s tape and partially remove the backing paper. Carefully apply the decal from the center towards the edges to avoid air bubbles. If bubbles do form, simply pull the decal back and reapply it — a high-quality decal can withstand several installation attempts.
4. Finishing touch
Go through all decals and make sure that the edges are firmly pressed down.
Allow the decals to bond properly for at least 24 hours before riding or washing. If desired, press over the decals one more time to ensure perfect adhesion.
Installing Wheel Graphics
1. Preparation
Remove the wheel & clean the rim surface thoroughly with a degreasing, fast-evaporating cleaning agent.
Make sure no chemical residue remains on the rim surface before installation, as it may prevent the sticker from bonding properly to the rim.
2. Measure the rim
Check the rim width using the measuring sticker included in the package. The measuring sticker is the same width as the wheel graphics.
Place the edge of the measuring sticker close to the spokes and attach it to the rim. Check the measurement to determine the correct wheel graphic width.
3. Cut if needed
Place the measuring sticker on the back side of the wheel graphic.
Using a ruler and the measurement you took, draw a straight line along the full length of the wheel graphic.
Carefully cut along the line with a utility knife and a ruler.
4. Installing
Place the wheel on its side and position the wheel graphic inside the rim.
Peel off the backing paper as you apply the graphic. At this stage attach only the inner edge firmly into place. Keep it close to the spoke bases, avoid raised areas and keep the same distance from each spoke. After completing the full circle, overlap the ends.
5. Heating up
Use a hair dryer to heat the graphic. Usually it doesn´t need to be set to the highest heat. Work slowly and press the graphic firmly into every recessed area of the rim. This is essential for proper attachment.
Apply and press only about 1 cm of the graphic at a time as you work around the wheel.
6. Finishing
Repeat the same process on the other side of the wheel.
Heat the graphic one last time and press it firmly over the entire surface, especially around the edges and recessed areas. Check that all edges are fully attached and that no part of the graphic is loose. Allow the decals to bond properly for at least 24 hours before riding or washing.
